Toosii, Kevin Gates, Jackboy, T.I. and More Join Tokyo Jetz for Debut Album - "Cancel Culture"

Spitfire rapper, Tokyo Jetz, released her debut album, Cancel Culture, earlier today. The 14-song collective features some of today's hottest artists, including Toosii, Kevin Gates, T.I., Jackboy and Tokyo Vanity. After Tokyo received backlash following a comment that was made last year, the artist experienced the "cancel culture" negativity on social media. Instead of allowing the opinion of others to harbor doubt and stifle her career, Tokyo decided to take that moment and express her experience through music. The project starts off with "Intro" which addresses this situation head on, detailing some of the comments that were made regarding herself and family. The vulnerable track set the tone for the album, with the song ending on a high note and showcasing Tokyo's confidence.

Tokyo released "Know the Rules" featuring her label head, T.I., first, receiving praise for the beat paying homage to iconic rapper, Tupac. Her second release, "WYTD" featuring Toosii, was a more sensual approach with a smooth beat, playful lyrics and a catchy hook. Her third single, "SODD" featuring Tokyo Vanity, is a fast-paced dance record with a nod to the New Orleans bounce culture. This afternoon, Tokyo premiered her latest visual for "Yak" featuring Florida native Jackboy, on World Star Hip Hop.
